About re-releases (all classes except Plastic Fantastic):
Re-releases / reissues of cars are legal, in all classes. Just be sure that the re-release doesn't have a modern chassis like the Sand Rover and Holiday Buggy. They come with a DT-02 chassis which is not allowed. The basic idea is to race cars that look and handle like they originally did. We have been very flexible as to release dates for Tamiya models, this is because they tend to use the basic platform for a very long time. There's seldom a competitive advantage to choosing a Tamiya model. And lastly they look very good on track and have a lot of personality.

2WD vs 4WD precisions:
You are of course welcome to race a 2WD Classic car in both the 2WD Classic and 2WD class. And vice versa a 4WD Classic in both 4WD Classic and 4WD.

In the 4WD classes all cars must have drive on all four wheels (meaning it's not allowed to run a 2WD in the 4WD class). You can however use an original 4WD car in the 2WD class if you remove drive on two of the wheels. 2WDs can have front or rear wheel drive.

Rules regarding modifications (all classes except Plastic Fantastic):
Modifications are fine provided that the custom parts keep the original shape. Approved modifications could be copies of an original chassis but in carbon fiber, upgraded gears, other belts, and also repro parts and bodies.

It is legal to swap parts with cars from the same time period. It is also legal to do small changes in geometry in order to make the cars more driveable. Just keep it within reason.

Option parts that were on the market (commercially available) back in the day are also allowed. For instance a mid motor conversion kit for 2WD or a MIP 4WD conversion kit for the RC10. Also prototype option parts that were in use on team cars. Reproductions or copies of such parts and kits are also allowed (for instance NIX91, which is a Worlds'91 replica). It may be a good idea to ask the organizer before you do a big modification or conversion as to if it's seen as legal or not.

IMPORTANT! IT IS NOT LEGAL TO EXTEND THE CAR'S WHEELBASE UNLESS THERE WAS A MASS PRODUCED AND COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE OPTION CHASSIS AVAILABLE IN THAT TIME PERIOD.

Replacing a locked axle with a differential is permitted. It is also allowed to replace gear diffs with ball diffs.

Slipper clutches are allowed to add since many re-release kits come with this.

Plastic Fantastic DT-02:
ESC must be set to Forward/Brake only, no reverse.
Batteries limited to 2S LiPo or 6 cells NiMH. Also limited to 8.4 volts before a run (For LiPo the charger must be set to cut charge at 4.2 volt pr cell). We recommend not using the Hi-Voltage LiPos.
The chassis must be of type DT-02
Allowed cars: Holiday Buggy, Sand Rover, Street Rover, Buggy Kumamon
Not allowed cars: Fighter Buggy SV, Super Fighter GR, Sand Viper, Super Fighter GR, Neo Falcon, Desert Gator, Super Fighter G, 1/10 DT-02 MS, Nissan Titan
Allowed hop ups: 540 silver can motor (any version). Free pinion size. Ball bearing kit 14pcs 5x11. Front oil dampers (50519). Rear oil dampers (50520). You can use the original shock springs or the ones from the oil damper kits.
Allowed tires Alt 1: Original re-release tires for the Holiday Buggy, Sand Rover or Street Rover.
Cutting down spikes are allowed (but not recommended as it gives less grip).
Allowed tires Alt 2: Tires used in the 2WD class.

Other modifications: This class is much about show and fun - so creative scale modifications "just for show" (that don't improve handling) are allowed. Paint, livery, lights and so on. Modifications that improve handling are not allowed (for instance adding a rear wing).

Transponders:
To be able to participate you need a personal transponder of the AMB/MyLaps brand. All the red ones are supported. You might share transponder with somebody as long as you don't run in the same heat, same class. You are all individually responsible for having a transponder mounted and ready before your heat starts.

We will try to have hand out transponders as well. But it's preferred that you own one. The hand out transponders have a footprint of 3,2 by 3,6 cm. And the height is 2,8 cm. They can also be mounted onto the body or wing by reaming a hole and fastening with a body clip. Note! The best ones are marked "A", the second best ones "B". They last fine for one race day. They blink green when fully charged. They blink red when they need to be charged. When they're empty there is no light at all and they will not count your laps.

Prizes:
Top qualifier (not PF)
Top 3 from the A final, winners of the sub finals
Concours d'Elegance Winner (best paint job)
Best In Show (Best "theme" - matching paint job/livery, clothes etc)
Best Plastic Fantastic
Fantastic Driving (for all kids)

Entry fee:
250 SEK/NOK for each class.

License:
You need a national race license (SBF, NMF, AKK, DASU) in order to participate, this is due to insurance. First timers can get an educational license from SBF, but this can only be done once.
For norwegians you don't need a license to take part in a NVC race in Norway. But if you're attenting a NVC race in Sweden you must have a license. The cheapest option is the "fun" license. You must also be a member of a norwegian club assosicated with NMF.

Where to buy tires?
Schumacher tires are sold online and in many stores.
