But why?

The father of this concept is Tomas Karlsson from Sweden. The idea was born after the VONats (Vintage Offroad Nationals) in the US in 2013, where two guys from Sweden flew over to take part. So he thought maybe we could do the same up here in the North... so he made the Nordic Vintage Challenge a reality. And it ended up being an event equally big as VONats! Which is simply amazing!

Since NVC#2 was not so popular (outdoors in Oslo, Norway) we will stick to indoors in Eskilstuna only for now. With one race in October and one in March.

So why do we like this?

1) The fun and social side: We focus less on the serious racing and more on these lovely old cars. It's nice to meet people face to face with the same interest in vintage RC cars. The chatting just goes on. We try and have a common dinner during the weekend.

2) The hunt: We collect, refurbish, modify and tune them as best we can. Who isn't addicted to ebay? :-)

3) The racing: Even though some of the cars are 30 years old they still perform well enough for us to do some proper wheel to wheel racing!

4) The showing off: It's very awarding to get recognized for a nice restoration, modification - or simply a very rare find!

We give awards not only to the winners of the classes as to the racing. We also award this:

BEST IN SHOW

BEST LOOKING CAR

MOST FUN CAR

CONCOURSE D'ELEGANCE WINNER

We welcome entries from any country in the world! Join the fun! :-)
